Iran was a monarchy that was ruled by shah, almost without interruption from 1501 until the 1979 Iranian revolution, when Iran officially became an Islamic Republic on April 1, 1979.

 The Mexican War of Independence was a conflict between people of Mexico and Spanish colonial authorities which started on September 16, 1810. The war started as a rebellion against their colonial masters, but ended as an alliance between Mexican ex-royalists and Mexican guerrilla insurgents.
